| Al Berquist opened the meeting with a prayer. New and old members introduced one another. Ted Bliss was elected Chairman of the Trustees Committee for the coming year. John Henderson was elected as the recording Secretary for the coming year. Minutes of the May 3 meeting was accepted. Treasurer's Report: The report will be sent directly to all committee members in Paula's absence. Council Minutes of their May 10th meeting were reviewed by the Trustees. Pastor's Report - Ken Peterkin asked for help in the removal of flaky paint from the wooden part of the exterior of the parsonage. Front porch, stairway, and back porch are the worst areas. Also, the gutters are full of debris and should be cleaned and covered. The parsonage utility bill is approximately $8,000 per year. Ken would like to consider instaling solar panels at an appropriate location. The slate roof of the parsonage is also deteriorating. Ted Bliss will communicate the above issues to the House and Grounds Committee. Old Business: - The repaired drainage system worked well during the recent period of heavy rain. Ted Bliss and the committee members expressed their gratitude to Herb and Sherry Clark. The Trustees picnic will be at 5:30 on June 15th at the Clark's residence. Members are requested to provide hors d'oeuvres, salads and desserts. Herb and Sherry will provide the main dish and beverages. The next meeting of the Trustees will be on September 7th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned. |
