| Travel and Service Opportunities: YSOP potential dates have narrowed to April 25 and May 16 due to conflicts. Mark will work with Youth Group leadership to pick one of the available dates for YSOP and an additional mission trip will be selected and the date confirmed. Building Projects: Habitat for Humanity is currently building a house on Pearl Street in Middletown. George Easton will follow the progress of this project and make a recommendation about UCC Essex participation. The Habitat for Humanity Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project 2008 is scheduled for May 11-16 on the Gulf Coast. Covenant to Care: 79 tags were placed December 2 and by December 5 40 have been taken. Gifts must be returned by December 16th. Christmas Offerings: there will be two separate offerings. The first is the Christmas Fund Offering on December 16 to benefit the Pension Boards Ministerial Assistance Program. The second is the Christmas Offering on December 23 and December 24 to benefit local, national, and international charities. Delcie will announce the offerings at the Sunday services. |
