| 1. Meeting was called to order with Delcie McGrath, Jane Piro, Paul Easton, Mark Pierce, Cindy Marshall, and Ken Peterkin attending. 2. The committee discussed the 2008 budget, requesting $23,125.00, anticipating that $10,000 of this will come from the Spring Rummage Sale. Jane will submit the budget to Dudley. 3. Father’s Day “Tools for Hope Cards” raised approximately $300.00. 4. Mark will research mission projects and report back next meeting. 5. Crop Walk. October 7, 2:00 PM United Church of Chester will sponsor. Jane is our representative. We will provide walkers. For three Sundays (9/16, 9/23, 9/30) prior to walk we will set up a table to promote. We will also repeat the sale of t-shirts and create a footprint for each person or group that pledges. 6. Neighbors in Need will occur October 21. Mark will announce October 14. 7. Habitat Project: George will contact organization to determine when and where the next work project will be. 8. Covenant to Care: Delcie will call Glenn Berman as a final check on the working relationship. 9. The committee discussed “other possible projects”. Mark to establish contact with Gloria Hoover and invite her to the next Outreach Committee meeting. Post meeting note from Mark: Amelia Penniman volunteered to join the Outreach Committee. If there are no objections I will send her a copy of the minutes and Delcie can invite her to the next meeting. |
