| Election of officials: Newly elected Chair - Jane Haeni, Newly elected Secretary and Council Rep - Wendy Arnold Next Council meeting on June 13th will be presented by Jennifer Rosenberg. Teacher Appreciation Day: To take place June 10th at the 10:00 service. Three roses will be presented to teachers. Bob Marshall is supplying the flowers and Kelli and Jane will prepare them with a ribbon. Planning the Rotation Curriculum: Forums (subject matter) will need to be prepared this summer for the first two, four week workshops. Ken, Jane and Wendy Arnold will meet June 27th to plan which Bible stories will be taught and recruit "captains." The classrooms are to be transformed to represent the particular medium being used by the captain. For instance, the story telling room will be designed to resemble a tent. Ken and Don Male will create the transformations this summer. Pictures will be taken to spark excitement. It was decided that all of the grades will still have teachers. These teachers will be called shepherds and will remain with his/her students for both consistency and to assist the forum teacher with the workshop. Each workshop will run for four weeks. Breaks will occur during Columbus weekend and Veterans weekend which will be combined Church School Sundays. Otherwise the Rotation Curriculum will run until Advent begins. During Advent all Church School students will be in the Sanctuary. Increasing Church School Attendance: A notice will be put in Passages in July about the new Rotation Church School Program and information about Rally day to take place on Sept. 9th. There will be a follow up letter mailed to families in early August regarding the "count down to Sunday School". In late August a letter addressed to the child will be mailed out to spark interest. Registration cards will also be mailed out to families. Kelli and Jane will create the various notices and letters.
