| New members: Ken and Jane will be making calls to recruit members for the committee. Last day of church school will be June 3. Teacher Appreciation Day: Teachers will be thanked and presented with flowers at the 10:00 a.m. family service on June 10. Special recognition will be made to four graduating seniors, who have contributed greatly to the church school program over the years. Jane will write a personal invitation to each teacher. Opening Day of Church School: “Kick-Off” Sunday will be September 9. Teachers will be introduced and Bibles will be presented to fourth-grade students. There will be an all-church picnic on the church grounds, after the 10:00 a.m. service. Jane will ask Duffy Grace to plan games for the children Workshop Rotation Model: It was decided to implement this plan from September until Advent. A major Bible story or concept will be taught by rotating the children to a different workshop every week for 4-5 weeks. The same teacher will be in a workshop for the whole period, presenting the chosen theme in one particular medium. Possible workshops might center on art, drama, music, storytelling, crafts, or other child-centered educational media. Adjustments would be made for each age group.
