Present : Ted Bliss (Chair),Herb Clark, Paula Merrick (Treasurer), Marian Messek, Lillian Mosa, Ken Peterkin and Mugsie West.
Minutes :

Marian Messek opened the meeting with a prayer.

Mugsie West volunteered to take the minutes.

Minutes of the March 8,2007 meeting were approved.

Paula Merrick distributed the current Treasurer's report.

Stewardship---The kick-off of the Annual Fund Drive is tentatively scheduled for 11-11-07. We hope that

Davida Foy Crabtree--Conference Minister--will be the keynote speaker.

Council Meeting Minutes were distributed.

Pastor's Report---Jack Kingsbury and Lillian Mosa will consult regarding the May breakfast, with the possibility of scheduling it on a Saturday.

Maundy Thursday Service at 7:30 p.m.

A brief Good Friday Service st 7:00 p.m.

Easter Sunday--two Services at 9:00 a.m.and 11:00 a.m.

Ken urged all to sign up for the Easter Weekend Vigil. The Church will be locked at night and opened at 6a.m.

Old Business---The painting has been appraised at $7500.00. The appraiser has recommended a plexiglass covering.It was moved and seconded that the evaluation and covering be funded by the Memorial Fund.

Dan Kottke will be looking into evaluating the fine art glass.

Nominating update---Glenn Herman and Peter Tibbetts have agreed to serve on the Board of Trustees.

By-Laws revision---Ted Bliss has been working on revisions. It was moved and seconded that supervision and review of the Church Secretary be deleted from Trustee responsibility.

It was felt--after discussion--that the Board of Trustees should take over the budget preparation.

Endowment Fund---Discussion continued this month. It was suggested that either the Fund be used for operating expenses or stewardship and increasing pledges be emphasized. Possibly the options should be presented to the congregation.

New Business---Senior Pastor evaluation forms were distributed and will be discussed in May.

Trustee picnic plans will be finalized at the May meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
