| 1. George Easton started the meeting with a prayer. 2. OGHS—Posters are up; bulletin inserts used for 2 Sundays. Boxes have been given to church school children to be returned. OGHS is Sunday, March 18, 2007 and Jane will do a mission spot. 3. Storybook Project—Notices will be put in Passages and in the bulletin regarding this project, to collect books for children of women at Niantic Prison. Box for book collection has been placed in Narthex. Drive ends April 15th. 4. Mother’s Day Blankets—Mother’s Day Blanket cards will be sold after church at Coffee Hour on April 29th, May 6th and May 13th. Committee members volunteered to staff the table. 5. “Change for Change”—Don Male has made a container where church members can place loose change. The idea is to fill up the container and then give the money to mission projects. The committee could suggest possible recipients (like Back Bay) and then vote where to send money collected. The container is presently located in the hall. 6. ATS/ YETS—The YSOP trip for May 4th and 5th is going well. Delcie attended the February youth group meeting and handed out information and sign up sheets. None returned to date. Mark will send e-mail to youth and parents. Discussion of an activity to do prior to checking in at YSOP facility. Mark suggested going to a museum with some theme that would be appropriate. He will look into it. 7. Eagle Fest—Left over money is being given to Outreach to donate to some organization that will help feed children. Jean will look into this. 8. Habitat for Humanity—George gave a report on what is going on with Middlesex Habitat. Land has been acquired and new construction may begin in April 2007. 9. Spring Gateway Luncheon—Date still needs to be set. Polly will coordinate. The youth will help out. A sign up will be put up when the date is finalized. 10. Nominating Committee—Jean will be the representative to the meeting. George Easton and Cindy Marshall agreed to continue on the committee. Next Meeting will be April 4, 2007 at 7:00 pm.
