| At the beginning of the meeting Chairperson Ray Steinbach declared that no quorum was present. Comments from the evening follow… Ray—gave the meeting schedule through June 2007. Meeting days are the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Barry—mentioned the music staff had met to set the Sunday responsibility schedule, Barry then passed out a schedule through Easter. Marsha interjected that on 12/3 Marian Messek can help with the hymn sing. Barry will purchase a flash drive to communicate better with Sue Engel at a cost of @ $20 Marsha—suggested we use the Community Music School’s piano tuner as that person is much less expensive charging perhaps $90 per tuning. Marsha will ask our current tuner if he can match that price. Marsha also suggested that the sanctuary’s piano stand needs locks on the wheels. Cheryl—reported that her groups heavily rely on high School Students and that more adults are wanted Cheerful Chimers (grades 1-5) began practicing the week of Nov. 6. Of the 7 young people only 1 is from our church! Meg --submitted written notes as she could not be present. She says that the Sunday School teachers have been receptive to her coming into class to teach songs. She may combine all the classes to teach the music at one time for better efficiency and better retention. They are working on 5 songs. Joyful Noise meets Sundays from 4-5 pm. Most of those young people are Sunday School teachers so she has to be careful about how she schedules the singing dates. Meg and Cheryl will be attempting to combine efforts during Advent. Meg will prepare the pageant for Christmas Eve at 5:30. The program is called “Christmas Everywhere”. Ken—announced the Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service, Advent and Christmas Eve services, confirmed with Barry that strings would be used Dec. 17, confirmed the hymn sing date of Dec. 3, and discussed the new lighting installed in the Sanctuary There was no new business and the meeting ended at 7 pm.
