| 1. The April minutes were accepted as submitted. 2. Pastor’s Report: a) Minutes for the H&G meetings should be posted and retrieved at ecminutes@yahoo.com. b) The ceiling in Ken’s office needs to be repaired asap. c) Various closets and the stage area in Fellowship Hall need to be sorted. Ken and Susan will do this during rummage week. d) All members of the church need to develop better communication and sharing skills with the pre-school. They are our tenant and they should be treated well. They have been good tenants for over thirty years. We should act as appreciative landlords. 3. Sexton job evaluation: The list of responsibilities is still being worked on. Audrey gave Ken a copy of a list she had. When the list is complete Mark and Mary-Lawrence will meet with the sexton to discuss his duties. 4. Drainage project specifications: Herb Clark’s crew replaced most of one of the drainage lines. Mark shared a letter to T.Bliss, Board of Trustees, stating that we may still need additional work, but, we are taking a “wait and see” attitude to see if the “Clark Solution” solves the problem. 5. Hillside bushes: Bushes have been pulled and the mulch has been put down. The area now needs to be edged. 6. Parsonage porch paint: Help is needed to finish scraping the porch and then it needs to be painted. Tools will be left on the porch and people can work on the project whenever they have time. 7. Sink: Audrey is waiting to hear from the antique dealer as to whether he would like to take the sink on consignment. Jane Fuller’s friend looked at it today. Audrey will talk to Jane to see if there is any interest. She will also follow up with the antique dealer, if needed. 8. Other business: a) New members will be invited to our 6/7 meeting. They are Stan Shepard, Rick McGrath, Bob Johnston, Chris Coombs, and possibly Ann Penniman and Jane Piro. b) The stage curtain needs to be fixed, again. c) We discussed how different lighting might make the curtain behind the cross look clean, not dirty. d) The subject of changing the light fixtures in the sanctuary came up again. Replacing them a few at a time seems to make sense as the replacement bulbs for the current lighting fixtures cost $900 each. Jim volunteered to take on this project. e) We decided to have our annual H&G picnic on Wednesday, June 21st at the Essex Boat Club at 5:30. BYOB. We will decide on the menu at the next meeting.
