| 1. May minutes were accepted with one change. The cost of sanctuary lighting bulbs are $200 each not $900 each. 2. Pastor report: none 3. Sanctuary air conditioning: Mark reported that it runs when the timers are set for it to be off. The timers are not the problem. Mark will call Daniels Oil for them to check on what is wrong. 4. Solar panels: We should investigate putting the solar panels on the south side of the church. Jim Ehle/Meyer knows someone in Guilford who can provide a quote. Electricity generated from the solar panel is sold back to the grid unless you have storage batteries. Jim will research what can be done and cost. 5. Parsonage porch paint: Mark will give Ken names of professional painters that Ken will call to get the work done. 6. Lighting survey: Nxegen, a sub-contractor of CL&P, has performed a lighting survey of the whole church. We would retrofit the lighting and it would be cheaper to run. There are several solutions to the sanctuary lighting. CL&P will pay half of the cost of lighting installation and the church would pay the other half. The cost is undetermined at this time. 7. Sink: It was decided we should give the thing away after having pursued numerous other options that did not pan out. Cheryl Harger will be asked to advertise it for us at a website that offers free items. 8. Picnic on 6/21/06, 5:30 at Essex Boat Club. Audrey has gotten permission for us to have the picnic at the Boat Club. Bob Marshall will call all potential attendees to find out what they are going to bring. BYOB. If it rains the picnic will be held in the Cove View Room. 9. Other business: Kris Coombs will not be a member of our committee next year. There will be no summer meetings. Next meeting: 9/6/06 at 7:00 p.m. |
